Heat storage beds in RTO units often need to withstand extreme conditions.

The properties of the honeycombs must be designed for varying requirements, and the materials optimized for each application. Only the right combination of materials in a heat storage bed will deliver good results.

Dense, very high heat storage capacity, acid resistant

Resistant to high temperatures

Highly thermal shock resistant

Chemically stable, and particularly resistant to alkaline gases

Applications

Normal use and applications requiring resistance to high levels of acidity

Use at very high temperatures (1100°C ≤ Tox ≤1500°C)

Applications involving exposure to severe thermal shocks

Applications requiring resistance to corrosive exhaust gases such as halogen compounds or high alkaline concentrations
